About the role

  • HR Coordinator managing daily HR operations and support for employees at Veregy, a decarbonization company.

Responsibilities

  • Supports day-to-day human resources operations and serves as a key point of contact for employees.
  • Assists with recruitment, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, and HR compliance.
  • Prepares, sends, and collects pre-employment documentation including background checks and drug screens.
  • Maintains accurate employee files and HR database records.
  • Acts as a liaison with internal recruiters for interviewing needs.
  • Serves as the first point of contact for HR-related questions.
  • Processes employee terminations and sends out the required notice.
  • Leads new employee orientation and benefit sessions.
  • Assists the Human Resources Manager with special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-3 years of human resources related experience required including compliance, benefits administration, and HRMS reporting.
  • Familiarity with human resources regulations, policies, and procedures required.
  • ADP experience preferred.
  • Knowledge (Intermediate to advanced) of various operating systems, software products (e.g., MS Office, etc.), is required.
  • Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships, negotiate with end users, and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time / workload.
  • Ability to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and staff.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and staff.
  • Ability to speak and communicate effectively before customers and staff.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and tactfully negotiate priority with end users.
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed.
  • Ability to carefully follow instructions and procedures, paying close attention to details to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • SHRM and/or HRCI certification is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license required.
