HR Coordinator managing daily HR operations and support for employees at Veregy, a decarbonization company.
Responsibilities
Supports day-to-day human resources operations and serves as a key point of contact for employees.
Assists with recruitment, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, and HR compliance.
Prepares, sends, and collects pre-employment documentation including background checks and drug screens.
Maintains accurate employee files and HR database records.
Acts as a liaison with internal recruiters for interviewing needs.
Serves as the first point of contact for HR-related questions.
Processes employee terminations and sends out the required notice.
Leads new employee orientation and benefit sessions.
Assists the Human Resources Manager with special projects as needed.
Requirements
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2-3 years of human resources related experience required including compliance, benefits administration, and HRMS reporting.
Familiarity with human resources regulations, policies, and procedures required.
ADP experience preferred.
Knowledge (Intermediate to advanced) of various operating systems, software products (e.g., MS Office, etc.), is required.
Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships, negotiate with end users, and resolve conflicts.
Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time / workload.
Ability to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and staff.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and staff.
Ability to speak and communicate effectively before customers and staff.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to prioritize tasks and tactfully negotiate priority with end users.
Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed.
Ability to carefully follow instructions and procedures, paying close attention to details to ensure accuracy and consistency.
SHRM and/or HRCI certification is a plus.
Valid driver's license required.
