About the role

  • HR Assistant managing administrative tasks and recruiting efforts at Hubbell. Supporting HR functions and providing excellent service to employees and managers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist HR Manager with recruiting tasks including interviewing and recommending applicants
  • Candidate sourcing utilizing databases, networking, job boards and Company social media
  • Pre-screen job applicants by reviewing applications and matching candidates to job requirements
  • Answer applicant questions including job details, benefits, and Company culture
  • Forward screened applicant materials to the appropriate hiring manager(s)
  • Schedule interview team meetings and coordinate reference checks
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new teammates including new hire documents, orientation, and training coordination
  • Answering/routing phone calls, greet visitors, assist individuals with directions, and guide people through the building
  • Maintain employment records using HR software
  • Update organizational charts and directories

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (required)
  • Associates Degree preferred
  • 2 years of previous HR, customer service, or administrative experience (required)
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with HR software and systems is preferred
  • Discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Responsible with strong work ethic, integrity, and reliability
  • Proven time management skills: ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks effectively
