About the role

  • Serve as a key point of contact for first-line HR support across the Coach & Kate Spade New York retail business in UK, Ireland, Germany, and Austria
  • Manage Employee Relations matters in compliance with local legislation and HR best practice
  • Attend formal meetings as the HR Representative in the capacity of note-taker and create the relevant paperwork (e.g. invites and outcome letters)
  • Prepare monthly key HR metrics including Employee Relations data
  • Manage the monthly payroll validation process and ensure accurate tracking/logging of new starters, leavers, changes to contractual agreements, and Right to Work checks
  • Partner with Area Managers to deliver comprehensive generalist HR support to key client groups
  • Support HR projects across Europe in line with Tapestry’s global HR vision
  • Act as first-line support to the management team on all HR queries, offering clear, well-informed advice and escalating issues to the HR Director
  • Create and develop new policies and procedures in conjunction with the HR Director
  • Ensure regular auditing and compliance with personnel files and related HR documentation, maintaining accurate records in accordance with company policies and local market legal requirements

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Employee Relations Specialist or HR Advisor, ideally within an international retail or hospitality environment based in the UK
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practices
  • Experience delivering HR advisory support across multi-country operations, particularly in the UK, Ireland, Germany, and Austria
  • Commercial mindset and strong analytical skills
  • Proactive and hands-on approach, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with minimal administrative support
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organisation
  • Experience working within a US-headquartered company is advantageous
  • Broad HR experience across European markets is desirable
  • Proficiency in German and familiarity with German employment law would be beneficial
