About the role

  • Call Center Representative managing appointment scheduling for Erie Family Health Centers. Answering calls and providing a great patient experience for diverse patients in need.

Responsibilities

  • Handle an average of 70 calls per day
  • Answer incoming inquiries regarding appointment scheduling and Erie services
  • Attend required trainings for Electronic Health Records (EHR)
  • Schedule appointments according to site-based guidelines
  • Update patient demographic and insurance information
  • Verify health coverage eligibility and enroll patients
  • Route calls administratively and maintain voicemail functionality
  • Assist with training new hires through call shadowing

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • One year of call center experience required
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to type a minimum of 25 words per minute
  • Customer service commitment with a focus on issue resolution and attention to detail
  • Proven reliability and attendance record
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment preferred
  • Illinois-issued driver's license or state ID required
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus
