About the role
- Human Resources Intern supporting HR projects at Oshkosh Defense. Engaging in recruiting activities, employee onboarding, and talent programs initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Support the Talent Development team in implementing, managing, and continuously improving talent programs
- Assist with recruiting activities for manufacturing and office positions including pre-screening candidates, scheduling interviews, coordinating pre-employment activities such as background checks and drug screening
- Assist with coordination of the new hire orientation, including scheduling, attendance tracking, event set-up, distribution of welcome gifts, ordering of materials, and more
- Conduct additional aspects of the employee onboarding process, such as I-9 completion, documentation verification, badge distribution
- Analyze and assemble reports on team member engagement data
- Maintain training records for hourly and salaried team members, maintaining an organized system of filing, tracking, uploading to the HRIS, and ensuring accurate compliance
- Lead projects as assigned by your leader
Requirements
- Student working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management, or related field for entire duration of internship
- Graduation date of December 2026 or later
- Willing to travel or relocate to Oshkosh, WI for full duration or part of internship
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater
