About the role

  • Customer Service Rep handling customer inquiries at Tessco in Timonium, MD. Providing support, processing orders, and mentoring new team members in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Answer queue customer calls and Tessco.com Live Chats, and email inquiries quickly and professionally while building rapport with customers
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience on each call or interaction
  • Process Salesforce.com pre and post-sale cases (we will train you)
  • Provide Tessco.com support to customers
  • Convert inquiries into orders while promoting Tessco’s value proposition in all customer correspondence
  • Process quotes and orders accurately and timely using our solid processes
  • Collaborate with team members to get customers the solution they need
  • Mentor new team members for smooth and efficient onboarding
  • Possible travel for trainings as needed

  • Great at building rapport and making connections quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A natural problem solver with a customer first mindset
  • Strong attention to detail and good follow up skills
  • Ability to multi-task and respond to rapid change
  • Demonstrate empathetic active listening skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Bonus points if you have worked in a call center or customer support role
