About the role

  • Business Development Manager expanding Mears' housing management offers to clients. Seeking new business opportunities with government clients while supporting strategic bidding activity.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on developing relationships and expanding our housing management offer to new and existing clients.
  • Actively seek and develop new business opportunities with Local and Combined Authorities, Devolved and Central Government clients.
  • Support strategic opportunities and bidding activity.
  • Work with senior managers to deliver high quality, innovative solutions, client engagement and bid strategies.
  • Identify and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Develop positive relationships and networks with stakeholders and potential clients.
  • Market and sell Mears solutions and propositions.
  • Research, create and develop new solutions to issues and problems identified by clients.
  • Manage and deliver SQ and bid submissions.
  • Develop and agree bid solutions with senior team.
  • Assist Mobilisation teams with implementation of new schemes.
  • Represent Mears positively in competitive dialogue environments.
  • Incorporate responses to any latest policy and strategy for the Housing sector within the bids.

Requirements

  • Experience of strategic business development and consultative selling
  • Excellent networking and relationship management skills
  • A competent negotiator
  • Excellent communicator
  • Ability to proactively manage, analyse and influence outcomes utilising data.
  • Commercially astute
  • Experience of proactively generating client engagement based upon an agreed strategy
