About the role

  • Greet patients warmly, ensuring a welcoming experience from arrival
  • Answer phone calls, resolve inquiries, and schedule appointments and exams using the Micrologos system
  • Verify and authorize consultations, exams, and procedures with health insurance providers
  • Assist with basic ophthalmic examinations under medical supervision
  • Perform daily cash reconciliation and manage payments/receipts
  • Keep the reception area organized and functional
  • Proactively support patient care (expediting exam scheduling and understanding patient needs) — active patient care

Requirements

  • High school diploma (completed)
  • Previous experience in an ophthalmology clinic
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; fluency in Portuguese
  • Strong organizational skills, agility, and attention to detail
  • Comfortable interacting with a diverse patient population and working under pressure
  • Responsible, proactive profile with a focus on collaborative growth
  • Prior experience in high-end/private medical clinics is a plus
  • Proactive and able to handle multiple concurrent tasks
  • Proficiency with basic computer tools such as Excel and clinical management systems
  • Availability for extended shifts on certain weekdays
