Responsibilities
Maintain dealership financial records, ensure accurate month-end closings, and review general ledger schedules
Monitor operational income statements, conduct fraud prevention reviews, and ensure adherence to internal controls and LAD financial policies
Oversee accounts receivable collections, daily bank postings, and bank reconciliations
Review or prepare payroll and accounts payable for accuracy and timeliness
Conduct physical vehicle inventories, reconcile parts inventory, and support fixed asset reporting
Resolve issues related to inbound and outbound vehicle documentation
Partner with dealership leadership (especially the GM), manage a team of 2–10 staff, and support hiring, training, and performance management
Ensure compliance with manufacturer programs, warranty claims, and reporting requirements
Participate in budgeting (up to $8MM), support stores with up to $200MM in revenue, and contribute to M&A activities
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or 3+ years of dealership accounting experience (required)
Strong attention to detail, urgency, and communication
Proficiency in accounting processes, reconciliation, and financial analysis
Ability to interpret financial results and recommend actions
Experience in team leadership and the auto industry (preferred)
