About the role

  • Govt sales specialist at Sophos driving sales and revenue growth for Cybersecurity solutions in governmental sectors across India. Responsible for business development, RFPs, and GEM bids.

Responsibilities

  • Working with Key decision makers in Govt departments.
  • Working closely with various Govt agencies to identify opportunities & latest trend in Govt department for buying cybersecurity solutions.
  • Expertise in government e-marketplace platforms, RFPs to list and promote products or services and manage transactions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government clients, understand their needs, and provide Cybersecurity solutions.
  • Knows the Channel ecosystem of the geography, interacted/worked with top Govt focused SI/Channel Partners.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales/Presales teams, marketing & cross functions to align strategies to deliver sales numbers

Requirements

  • Minimum 8-10 years of sales experience specially in the Government business solution selling. (Central, State, PSU, ministries).
  • Minimum 2-3 years exp of Cybersecurity product /solutions sales in Govt/PSU department will be an added advantage.
  • Proven experience in Govt sales customer-facing role.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with sales processes and methodologies, with the ability to collaborate effectively with sales teams and contribute to the sales cycle.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings, conferences, and trade shows, as required.
