About the role

  • Group Sales Representative selling outdoor adventure experiences at NOC. Managing and growing group accounts with a full sales cycle approach.

Responsibilities

  • Generate sales for all NOC properties, assets, attractions, and activities—meeting or exceeding assigned sales budgets—by booking, managing, and growing NOC’s Group and Custom accounts and reservations year-round
  • Maintain and expand existing group business through excellent follow-up, proactive account management, and trip-to-trip relationship building that increases return visitation
  • Develop new group and custom business through consistent prospecting, outreach, and cold calling, including exploring new group segments and partnership opportunities
  • Gain a thorough knowledge of NOC customer channels, relationships, and full product lineup (adventure, lodging, food & beverage, retail, and trip planning where applicable)
  • Assure prompt response to all sales inquiries and deliver a consultative, solutions-oriented sales experience
  • Ask questions, identify needs, and offer recommendations that maximize guest satisfaction and best utilize NOC lodging and recreational resources
  • Collect deposits and balance payments in a timely manner per NOC group payment policy
  • Collaborate with all NOC departments to ensure groups are supported appropriately from booking through arrival and post-trip follow-up
  • Embrace all technology platforms necessary to book group reservations, manage accounts, and track sales performance
  • Support NOC’s Guest Relations Office as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Familiarity with outdoor recreation, travel, tourism, hospitality, and/or experience-based products
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, leaders, and stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a consultative, service-oriented approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (phone, email, and in-person)
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously
  • Comfort with proactive outreach, including prospecting and cold calling
  • Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Ability to learn and use reservation platforms, sales tools, and other technology systems
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Experience using a CRM and maintaining accurate sales/activity records (Preferred)
  • Demonstrated sales success (meeting/exceeding goals; growing revenue, retention, and/or account size), tangible record of closing sales. (Preferred)
  • Experience selling group experiences, travel, events, hospitality, or recreation products (Preferred)
  • Ability to identify and develop new group segments, partnerships, or channels (Preferred)
  • B.S./B.A. in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field (Preferred)
