About the role

  • Senior People Partner supporting Academy Associates and ensuring engagement and performance in tech career paths. Collaborating with leadership and client partners to enhance learner outcomes and commercial success.

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with leaders and clients to drive performance
  • You’ll act as a trusted advisor to Academy leadership and Engagement Leads, helping translate business goals into people strategies that drive engagement, retention and performance.
  • You’ll also work closely with client partners where Associates are deployed, ensuring strong relationships, clear expectations and positive outcomes for both the Associate and the customer.
  • Using people data, insights and trends, you’ll help leaders make informed decisions that support learner success while protecting the commercial performance and reputation of the Academy.
  • Shaping the Associate experience
  • You’ll play a key role in shaping the experience of our Academy Associates across the entire lifecycle.
  • From onboarding and deployment to development and progression, you’ll ensure Associates feel supported, connected and set up to succeed in both the Academy environment and within client organisations.
  • This means balancing the needs of the individual, the client and the business, ensuring the experience works commercially as well as culturally.
  • Leading employee relations and managing risk
  • You’ll act as the senior point of expertise for complex employee relations matters across the Academy population, managing cases with professionalism, credibility and sound judgement.
  • Working closely with Engagement Leads and Academy leadership, you’ll coach and support managers to confidently address people challenges early, helping protect both employee experience and commercial outcomes.
  • Driving engagement, performance and wellbeing
  • The Academy is a high-energy, fast-moving environment. You’ll design and deliver engagement initiatives that strengthen connection, inclusion and belonging across Associate cohorts.
  • You’ll also work with leaders to proactively address retention, attendance and performance challenges, ensuring Associates remain engaged and able to deliver strong outcomes for our clients.

Requirements

  • Experience operating as a Senior People Partner or People Lead in a fast-paced environment
  • A strong track record of managing complex employee relations cases with confidence and credibility
  • Experience working closely with senior stakeholders and customer-facing teams
  • Exposure to apprenticeship, training, or train-and-deploy business models
  • Strong stakeholder management and coaching capability
  • Solid knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • The ability to balance employee experience, risk and commercial outcomes
  • Comfort operating both strategically and hands-on
