About the role

  • HR Director at IPL Schoeller overseeing HR operations in Germany. Leading compliance, talent management, and employee relations.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing HR operations and ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Responsible for compliance with all employment-related legislation and regulation
  • Support the implementation of HR strategies that align with business objectives while fostering a culture of engagement and performance
  • Champion change initiatives while striving to improve the employee experience
  • Delivery of initiatives in talent & reward management, employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning
  • Lead and manage daily HR operations to ensure efficient procedures and processes are followed
  • Contribute and implement HR policies and procedures that align with company goals, legislative and industry regulations
  • Oversee talent acquisition processes, including recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees
  • Manage employee relations to address concerns, foster a positive work environment, and ensure employee satisfaction
  • Utilize HR metrics and analytics to assess performance and develop data-driven HR strategies
  • Collaborate & support management to develop a robust talent pipeline
  • Facilitate performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback mechanisms
  • Act as the primary point of contact for escalated HR issues and challenges; support managers in resolving complex employee relations issues and provide guidance on handling sensitive matters
  • Identify areas for improvement in HR processes, tools, and practices; ensuring alignment with the division. Project manage to deliver group initiatives locally and regionally as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (required)
  • Master’s degree in HR Management, Organizational Development, or an MBA will be advantageous
  • In-depth knowledge of employment law, HR policies, and compliance standards relevant to the region
  • Deep knowledge of labour law and collective labour relations in Germany and CEE
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., IFS,Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM)
  • 8–10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial or senior HR leadership role
  • Proven experience in: o Leading HR operations and strategic initiatives across multiple business units or countries o Project managing HR programs or change initiatives at a regional level, including timelines, stakeholder engagement, and delivery o Driving process improvements in HR service delivery, systems, or compliance within a regional or multi-country context o Partnering with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business goals o Managing and mentoring HR teams across different locations or functions.
  • Experience in organizational design, workforce planning, and talent development
  • Strong track record in employee relations, conflict resolution, and change management
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
