About the role

  • Principal HR Business Partner providing strategic HR support to global business leaders. Contributing to HR strategy alignment with business goals in a diverse working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic HR partner to managers and business leaders across multiple regions worldwide.
  • Actively participate in the development and evolution of overall HR strategy, taking regional and cultural realities into account.
  • Ensure HR practices comply with local and international laws.
  • Analyze HR trends and recommend concrete actions to improve organizational outcomes.
  • Develop an analytical approach to talent management by monitoring key indicators and proposing data-driven interventions.
  • Support teams through organizational transformations by recommending change management strategies adapted to business realities.
  • Collaborate closely with HR team members (total rewards, talent acquisition, etc.) to ensure a consistent, integrated delivery.
  • Implement programs for identifying, developing and retaining talent while ensuring succession for critical roles.
  • Support and coach managers to strengthen their leadership, engagement and team management skills.
  • Ensure sound labour relations management for unionized and non-unionized employees, providing strategic oversight.
  • Manage complex disability/leave cases in partnership with managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or a related field (Master’s degree is an asset).
  • Strong knowledge of labour/employment law.
  • International exposure or knowledge is an asset.
  • Minimum of 10 years of HR experience as an HR Business Partner.
  • Experience in an international environment is an asset.
  • Experience managing a team or providing functional leadership.
  • Excellent ability to influence, build trusted relationships and navigate complex environments.
  • Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and change management skills.
  • Pragmatic, results-oriented approach, able to move from strategy to action when required.
