About the role

  • Account Executive responsible for pioneering DeepL's public sector expansion in Switzerland. Collaborating with various teams to provide tailored solutions for governmental institutions.

Responsibilities

  • Pioneer DeepL's expansion into the Swiss public sector.
  • Serve as an ambassador for DeepL's products and as the expert on the needs of Switzerland's public sector.
  • Act as a trusted partner for prospects and customers in the public sector.
  • Strive to meet and exceed monthly activity, pipeline, and revenue targets.
  • Build a new business pipeline in the public sector from the ground up.
  • Respond to a high volume of inbound public-sector leads and customers.
  • Forecast and track all opportunity and customer details.
  • Work closely with our diverse, international, and welcoming teams.

Requirements

  • Experience selling Enterprise SaaS in the DACH region with strong public-sector expertise: proven track record selling to government agencies, public institutions, and public-sector organizations.
  • Deep knowledge of the Swiss public-sector landscape: understanding of public procurement processes, public-sector decision-making structures, and the specific requirements of federal, cantonal, and municipal authorities in Switzerland.
  • Experience selling to and expanding enterprise accounts in the public sector: demonstrated success in acquiring new logos within governmental and public organizations.
  • Proven track record of consistently overachieving sales quotas.
  • Ability to collaborate with and orchestrate cross-functional teams: experience working with procurement departments, IT teams, and various stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: you enjoy the challenge of building something new.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment: able to re-prioritize and adapt to dynamic situations.
  • Fluent in German and English: essential for interacting with public-sector customers and stakeholders in Switzerland.
