About the role

  • Lead the review, development, and implementation of company policies and procedures
  • Ability to assume responsibilities related to the LOQE and to chair the committee
  • Participate in the full recruitment cycle, from posting vacancies to reviewing resumes, and use creative solutions to source top talent for WeighPack positions (e.g., background/reference checks, onboarding documentation and Day 1 requirements)
  • Develop wellness and engagement initiatives; gather employee feedback on their effectiveness
  • Resolve employee relations issues and handle grievances; escalate to the Global HR Director of the Paxiom group when appropriate
  • Handle all HR-related matters concerning local policies, benefits, leave (and other needs)
  • Lead the HSE team to implement and monitor health and safety policies and practices
  • Track and report workplace accidents and safety incidents; update CNESST records as required
  • Support tracking of training and certifications (e.g., first-aid certification, completion of HSE training)
  • Follow up with managers on training to ensure proper completion

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of relevant HR experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English
  • Experience managing performance programs
  • Organized, problem-solving and solution-focused mindset
  • Experience in recruitment
  • Experience with HR systems
