Develop and manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, life insurance, disability coverage, and other voluntary benefits
Ensure compliance by staying up to date with federal, state, and local regulations
Plan and execute annual benefits open enrollment process, communicating effectively with employees, and providing guidance to ensure employees make informed decisions
Collaborate with benefit providers, brokers, and carriers to negotiate contracts and review service agreements
Conduct benefits orientation for new hires as well as facilitating ongoing communication and education initiatives to help employees understand their benefits options and offerings
Develop and promote wellness initiatives and programs to support employees health and well-being
Effectively communicate new and existing benefit programs with a diverse employee base to ensure the entire organization is properly informed
Act as a Subject-Matter Expert in the HRIS system, UKG
Requirements
Experience with multiple HRIS, including the newest versions of UKG or Ultimate Software
Experience directly interfacing and effectively communicating with brokers on premium costs during open enrollment
In-depth knowledge of employee benefits regulations, compliance, requirements, and industry trends in several states
Experience managing and implementing 401k plans
Ability to manage claims reports and implement creative preventive care programs based on the data collected
Experience actively participating in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) activities including cost analysis between benefit plans and cost impact
