Product Marketing Manager overseeing product lifecycle for RF and microwave solutions at Filtronic. Collaborating with engineering and marketing to ensure market-focused product development.
Responsibilities
Own the full product lifecycle – from concept and requirements through to launch, maturity, and end-of-life.
Developing, maintaining, and refining product literature, with full ownership of datasheets to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with product capabilities.
Work with the CTO and Head of Marketing to develop & maintain product/technology roadmaps that reflect market trends, customer feedback and strategic goals.
Work closely with Engineering, Commercial (Business Development and Marketing), and Operations to define and prioritise product requirements, translating market and customer insights into a clear and cohesive set of specifications.
Support new product introduction (NPI) and ensure clear product definition and positioning.
Conduct competitor and market analysis to inform strategic decision-making
Prepare business cases, pricing strategies and go-to-market plans.
Working with Biz Dev to serve as the voice of the customer internally, ensuring products meet real-world application needs.
Support customer engagement, proposal development and bid activity with technical insight.
Track and report on product performance, identifying opportunities for enhancement or optimisation.
Provide product familiarisation for the business development team and deliver customer training as required.
Requirements
Essential:
Degree in engineering, physics or a related technical discipline.
Proven experience in a product marketing role within RF, microwave, satellite, or telecoms industries.
Strong technical understanding of RF/microwave/mmWave systems and components.
Commercial awareness and experience working with cross-functional teams.
Ability to support sales teams with tools, collateral and training.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Comfortable balancing technical depth with commercial priorities.
Desirable:
Familiarity with latest semiconductor technology.
Experience managing space-qualified or high-reliability products.
Knowledge of satellite, aerospace, defence or HAPS/LEO communications markets.
Understanding of ESA, UKSA, or similar programme frameworks.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable presenting ideas via various channels including conferences and webinars.
