About the role

  • Utilize foundational HR knowledge to serve as a primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate resolution through collaboration with subject matter experts across HR functional areas.
  • Provide operational support for strategic HR initiatives and events, including but not limited to HR chatbot program, the annual Years of Service and Staff Awards recognition event, Benefits Fair, Block Party event, etc.
  • Oversee the management of multiple HR inboxes and communication channels, ensuring consistent alignment with customer service standards and operational priorities.
  • Interpret and apply the University of Colorado’s retention record and data classification policies, providing guidance to departments on compliance and best practices.
  • Administer the online document management system for campus personnel records, including document scanning, indexing, and serving as the system’s instance administrator.
  • Review and interpret employment verification requests, human capital management (HCM) data, and university classification policies to prepare and deliver accurate and confidential employment verifications.
  • Facilitate honorarium and leave transfer processes by coordinating with departmental HR representatives, state agencies, and central HR subject matter experts to ensure timely and compliant execution.
  • Collaborate with Staff Council Executive Committee on priorities, initiatives and needs.
  • Maintain the official repository for Staff Council documents including minutes, resolutions, shared governance participation, committee rosters, and historical participation.
  • Develop standard operating procedures documents.
  • Support the planning and executing annual and special elections, including onboarding of new members.
  • Coordinate scheduling and logistics for committee meetings, including guest outreach and attendance management.
  • Facilitate effective Staff Council communications under the direction of the Staff Council Executive Committee, including Teams channel oversight and inbox administration, ensuring timely and professional correspondence.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in HR, customer service or administrative support role or equivalent experience.
  • This position is not eligible for university-sponsored work authorization.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future university sponsorship.
