About the role
- Lead the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding process for student and intern employees.
- Partner with managers to align workforce needs with organizational goals.
- Maintain accurate employee data and records to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Support full-time hiring as needed through interview coordination and candidate communication.
- Mentor and develop a team of student HR Assistants through regular one-on-one meetings and training.
- Advise managers and employees on HR policies and best practices.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture.
- Support employee development and performance management processes.
- Contribute to HR projects that enhance communication, engagement, and growth.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, including those governing student employment and visa requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of HR experience (professional or internship).
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).
- A willingness to reside within commuting distance of Salt Lake City, Utah, and work on-site at least three days per week.
- Fluent in English.
- Fluent in a language other than English, including Spanish and/or Portuguese; additional languages are a plus.
- Experience in an international or multicultural work environment.
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar) or progress toward certification.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
