About the role

  • Lead the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding process for student and intern employees.
  • Partner with managers to align workforce needs with organizational goals.
  • Maintain accurate employee data and records to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Support full-time hiring as needed through interview coordination and candidate communication.
  • Mentor and develop a team of student HR Assistants through regular one-on-one meetings and training.
  • Advise managers and employees on HR policies and best practices.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture.
  • Support employee development and performance management processes.
  • Contribute to HR projects that enhance communication, engagement, and growth.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, including those governing student employment and visa requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of HR experience (professional or internship).
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).
  • A willingness to reside within commuting distance of Salt Lake City, Utah, and work on-site at least three days per week.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Fluent in a language other than English, including Spanish and/or Portuguese; additional languages are a plus.
  • Experience in an international or multicultural work environment.
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar) or progress toward certification.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
