About the role

  • Define and lead the global HR strategy, aligning people initiatives with overall business objectives across offices in Ontario, Finland, and Malta.
  • Partner with senior management and business leaders as a trusted advisor on organisational design, leadership development, and workforce planning.
  • Shape and drive company culture, ensuring values are embedded consistently across all locations.
  • Lead performance management frameworks that connect individual and team outcomes with business success.
  • Oversee global talent acquisition strategy, setting direction with the HR & Office Manager who will manage recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Develop staff retention, succession planning, and leadership programs that strengthen long-term organisational capability.
  • Design competitive compensation, benefits, and reward strategies that are fair, motivating, and locally compliant in each jurisdiction.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), fostering inclusive practices across all offices and teams.
  • Guide organisational change and learning initiatives, with program delivery executed by the HR & Office Manager.
  • Leverage HR analytics, compliance frameworks, and best practices to inform senior management decision-making, manage risk, and ensure consistency across multiple geographies.
  • Report directly to the CEO.

Requirements

  • Based in Malta
  • 5+ years of proven experience in senior HR leadership, ideally across multiple countries
  • Strong knowledge of organisational design, workforce planning, and HR strategy
  • Proven ability to partner with senior management and act as a trusted advisor to leadership
  • Skilled in shaping company culture, DEI, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Experience overseeing talent acquisition and retention strategies (execution led by HR & Office Manager)
  • Confident in designing compensation and benefits frameworks across different jurisdictions
  • Strong communicator with the ability to build trust and alignment across teams
  • Strategic mindset, balancing people needs with business objectives
  • Reports directly to the CEO
