About the role

  • Responsible for initiating, engaging and maintaining contact with the injured/absent employees on a regular basis.
  • Provide support to employee’s leader and HR regarding claims management, disability, accommodation and the Attendance Awareness and Support Program.
  • Interpret and educate leaders on regulatory and compliance requirements for case management practices.
  • Develop sustainable return to work plans and conduct effective return to work meetings.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in disability and WSIB claims management.
  • Post-secondary degree in the health sector.
  • Must meet the eligibility requirements to become certified with the Canadian Society of Professionals in Disability Management as a Certified Disability Management Professional (CDMP) and/or Certified Return to Work Coordinator (CRTWC) within 1 year or be a CDMP or CRTWC in good standing.
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills.
