About the role
- Customer Master Data Steward maintaining data integrity across BD's QTC operations for effective sales and order processing. Collaborating with teams to improve master data quality and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with the Quote to Cash Data Owner to cleanse and validate the existing Customer Master Data database, resolving duplicates and inconsistencies.
- Establishing and documenting data standards and validation rules aligned with QTC requirements.
- Developing regional expertise by understanding local regulatory requirements and business practices related to Customer Master database in the medical field.
- Owning the end-to-end lifecycle of Customer Master database post-cleansing, including creation, updates, and deactivation in line with governance policies.
- Monitoring and continuously improving Customer Master Data database data quality across systems and processes.
- Supporting system implementations and upgrades by ensuring Customer Master Data database requirements are captured, tested, and validated.
- Contributing to the design and deployment of automation solutions and workflow enhancements based on clean and structured data.
- Acting as a domain expert for Customer Master Data database across Commercial, CMDO, Finance, Legal, and IT teams.
- Providing multi-functional guidance to ensure Customer Master Data database accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
- Facilitating collaboration across departments to align data governance and business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field
- Demonstrable experience applying data standards, performing root cause analysis, and driving continuous improvement in a cross-regional environment
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with master data systems such as SAP, Salesforce, or Oracle; certifications in data management platforms are a plus
- Strong English communication skills, with the ability to manage interested parties and collaborate across functions
- Desired qualifications include knowledge of QTC data governance, Lean Six Sigma certification, and familiarity with SOX compliance and revenue recognition standards.
