About the role

  • Business Development Officer providing sales and underwriting services to local brokers and agents. Collaborating on business development and supporting the Relationship Management team in insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide sales & marketing and underwriting services to Local Broker & Agent producers
  • Support the Relationship Management team in business development / producer management
  • Keep up the growth / develop distribution channels and monitor their performance
  • Liaise with underwriting centres for the matters of underwriting and renewal business follow-up
  • Work closely with all related internal parties in handling/follow-up quotations, policy documents, renewals, premium collection and help to answer producers’ enquiries as necessary
  • Participate in producers’ external meetings, new product launch as necessary
  • Monitor the overdue premium to comply with company credit control policy
  • Assist managers on project analysis and reporting
  • Willing to take other new responsibilities as assigned by managers

Requirements

  • Degree Holder
  • ANZIIF & Finance – Senior Associate is preferred
  • Minimum 2 years practical work experience in General Insurance
  • Good interpersonal skills and business network with local brokers and agents
  • Sound GI product or claims knowledge
  • Good command of written & spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin)
  • Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
