Responsibilities
Play a vital role in reducing harm to young people across Torbay.
Work alongside young people, their families, and other professionals in the community to provide advice, make assessments to plan and deliver effective and person-centred treatment.
Provide harm reduction advice and structured psychosocial interventions as part of an experienced team and multi-agency response.
Requirements
Demonstrate a successful track record of intervention work with children, young people and their families.
Committed to, and able to demonstrate, relational, restorative and anti-discriminatory practice.
Have excellent organisational and communication skills.
Knowledge of substance misuse (drugs and alcohol) and awareness of national and local initiatives.
Knowledge of psychological and physical dependence of substances and the risks substance misuse may post in the short and long-term.
This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
