Business Developer for The Dufresne Group's E-commerce Team. Responsible for marketplace growth through seller acquisition and performance optimization.
Responsibilities
Identify new market segments and valuable brand/retailer prospects through data-driven analysis of the market and category behaviour
Acquire and incubate key target brands/retailers in line with the long-term strategic plan
Own the seller pipeline including prospecting, outreach, pitches, negotiations
Own execution for small and mid-tier brands, collaborate with Marketplace Manager on strategic brands
Implement campaigns and initiatives for new sellers to boost their performance
Ensure new sellers meet quality, assortment, and compliance requirements prior to handoff
Ensure overall sales targets are met through planning, forecasting, marketing and collaboration with internal teams
Recommend processes and performance measures to improve recruitment velocity
Demonstrate the company’s values in all aspects of work performance
Requirements
4+ years working experience in retail/ecommerce, ideally in business development
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Powerpoint, Word, Excel) – ability to develop & delivery quality presentations
Strong business acumen
Familiarity with assortment analysis and retail category dynamics
Bachelor’s Degree or Combination of education and experience will be considered
Excellent written & verbal communication
Strong presentation & negotiation skills
Driver’s License Required.
A satisfactory Criminal Record Check may be required.
