  • Regional Sales Manager leading and developing Business Development and Account Managers in the solar sector. Focus on fostering client relationships and achieving business growth goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, direction, and support to a team of Business Development Managers.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss goals, strategies, and challenges.
  • Mentor and coach team members to enhance their performance and professional development.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the company.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align team objectives with the company's business goals.
  • Coordinate and oversee the training program for new Business Development Managers, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of Signature Solar's products, services, and sales processes.
  • Foster a continuous learning environment to keep the team updated on industry trends and advancements.
  • Monitor individual and team performance, providing constructive feedback and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales strategies.
  • Foster strong collaboration between the solar sales team and internal departments to enhance product knowledge and streamline processes.
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, promoting a cohesive and aligned approach to business development.
  • Oversee the cultivation of relationships with potential clients through targeted outreach efforts, networking events, and prospecting.
  • Support team members in conducting effective solar sales presentations and demonstrations to potential clients.
  • Manage travel schedules efficiently to maximize productivity and ensure effective client engagement.
  • Safely operate a vehicle to attend client meetings, networking events, and business-related activities.
  • All other duties assigned.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales leadership, preferably within the solar or renewable energy industry.
  • Strong understanding of solar technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate high-performing sales teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in sales leadership, managing both new business development and account management teams is preferred.
  • Track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets and driving regional growth.
  • This position may require the ability to perform tasks that involve sitting, standing, walking, lifting 25+ lbs, computer work and other physical activities. Candidates should be able to meet these physical demands with or without reasonable accommodations.
