About the role
- Payroll Specialist managing monthly payroll and tax compliance for FC Schalke and its subsidiaries. Supporting financial audits and providing statistical reports for internal departments.
Responsibilities
- Part of a four-person team and responsible for preparing the monthly payroll and salary statements for all areas of the club as well as its subsidiaries.
- Point of contact for managers, employees, authorities and institutions on payroll tax and social security law matters.
- Support and advise the S04 companies on payroll tax issues.
- Prepare reports and statistics for the board, HR department, financial accounting and controlling.
- Support external audits such as payroll tax audits and social security audits.
- Assist with semi-annual and annual closing tasks and perform monthly account reconciliations.
Requirements
- Completed training as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellte) or a commercial vocational qualification with several years of experience in payroll processing.
- Professional knowledge of payroll tax law, social security law and employment law acquired through several years of work experience.
- Proficient in payroll processing, ideally with DATEV LODAS or comparable payroll software.
- Experience posting payroll/personnel-related accounting transactions.
- Ideally experience with HR-Works (especially DATEV interfaces) or comparable HR management systems.
- Team player who enjoys collaborating with others.
- Works independently, systematically and solution-oriented.
