About the role

  • Product Group Owner leading HR-IT team at Schaeffler, managing digital transformation and overseeing IT solutions for global HR processes.

Responsibilities

  • Providing functional leadership and direction to the different HR-IT-Product teams
  • Fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
  • Steering 5 Product Owner and supporting them in their technical leadership role
  • Managing the HR-IT roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and HR strategy
  • Facilitating the delivery of international IT projects, guiding the teams to ensure successful execution
  • Acting as a point of contact for stakeholders
  • Facilitating discussions and decisions regarding product features, timelines, priorities, expectations, and the product vision
  • Holding full responsibility for the HR-IT budget and holding the Product Owners in the Product Group accountable for their figures
  • Defining the international strategy for internal and external workforce together with the leadership team
  • Taking responsibility for negotiating contracts with external service providers and ensuring contract terms and durations are properly monitored
  • Collaborating with other HR IT Teams to ensure integrative solutions, especially where interdependencies affect multiple teams/solutions
  • Working closely with the leadership team consisting of the People & Competence manager (PCM), the Scrum Master (SCM), and the Product Line Manager of Enterprise Applications

Requirements

  • Completed studies in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or comparable qualifications with corresponding practical experience
  • Fluency in both English and German, with a minimum of C1 level proficiency
  • Good technical understanding of SAP HCM, Employee Central and SuccessFactors
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools (Scrum, Kanban, JIRA)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in leading both teams and leaders
  • Several years of experience in implementation of digitalization projects
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or a similar role, specifically within HR IT
  • Proficiency in managing transformation processes and implementing change management strategies
  • Good understanding of enterprise integration, and the specific challenges related to interacting with complex ERP environments is very beneficial
  • Strong leadership skills including managing complex situation
