About the role

  • Human Resources Consultant supporting client compliance initiatives and delivering HR services. Partnering with clients in Omaha, NE at a benefits consulting firm with a strong customer service record.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Director of Human Resources and clients to support compliant HR practices aligned with applicable laws and regulations
  • Assist in the development, updating, and implementation of compliance-related documents, including employee handbooks, policies, and procedures
  • Serve as an HR resource for clients by providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, and HR policies
  • Support internal and client recruitment efforts, including drafting job postings, conducting initial candidate screenings, and coordinating interviews
  • Act as a liaison between clients and partner organizations to facilitate accurate and timely service delivery
  • Continuously review compliance materials to ensure alignment with current regulations and best practices
  • Provide prompt, professional responses to client inquiries via email and phone
  • Maintain organized, accurate documentation of client communications and projects

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of Human Resources experience
  • Working knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment legislation
  • Experience supporting HR compliance, employee benefits, or related functions
  • 3-5 years of Human Resources experience (preferred)
  • Experience in employee benefits, HR consulting, or insurance industry environments (preferred)
  • Masters Degree in Human Resources or related field (preferred)
  • Professional HR certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of core HR disciplines, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and employee engagement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Detail-oriented with strong project coordination abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems, and HR-related software
