Responsibilities
The Senior Regional People Partner is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated regions and business units.
You will formulate partnerships across the People function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.
You will maintain an effective level of business literacy about the region and business unit's priorities, its midrange plans, its culture, and its competition.
This position is responsible for providing advice and counsel to coworkers and leaders and will lead People program delivery to specified clients, including Performance Management, Pay Planning, Succession Planning, and a strong focus on Employee Relations, and Labor Relations.
The Regional People Partner will be located in our service centers or other locations, working directly with our coworkers to create the desired work environment. The role is hybrid working from your remote office and in-person at Diablo Canyon Power Plant in Avila Beach, CA, based on business needs.
This position will support several PG&E facilities in the central coast region, including Diablo Canyon Power Plant, which requires obtaining and maintaining unescorted access at this facility.
This role will require occasional travel to the Oakland General Office & San Ramon offices for trainings and meetings.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related or equivalent work experience
6 years of HR and/or HR generalist experience
Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel as required within the PG&E service territory
Demonstrated experience working with senior company leaders, including demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and influence leaders at the executive level
Must be able to obtain and maintain unescorted access at the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant. This requires an extensive background check, drug and alcohol screening, a psychological screening, and computer-based training
This position will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing on an ongoing basis as a condition of maintaining access.
Desired: Experience working in a large organization (preferably over 1,000 employees)

Knowledge: Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, especially California labor laws
