About the role

  • Technical Sales Specialist at OPAL-RT working with clients in APAC. Engaging in sales proposals, customer needs assessment, and product presentations while enhancing real-time simulation technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Assess China, APAC and International customer functional requirements, needs and goals to determine which real-time simulator configuration is best suited to meet their stated requirements
  • Help our sales department and the sales force from our exclusive distributor in China to prepare technical project proposals and to research and compile commercial quotations for our customers
  • Help Sales and sales force from our exclusive distributor in China with tender preparation, offers and follow-up throughout the process lifespan, including, when required, contract review and negotiation
  • Communicate regularly with our exclusive distributor in China about new product release from OPAL-RT, and adapt the offers to the Chinese market against the overall understanding of the local competition and trends of real-time simulations
  • Perform technical presentations and target demonstrations of OPAL-RT products and their project-linked application toward our new and potential customers
  • Coordinate and attend demonstrations of OPAL-RT equipment at potential customer sites
  • Coordinate product information and sales documentation in cooperation with technical departments
  • Monitor and participate in customer relations efforts and processes
  • Participate in customer visits, industry trade shows and international conferences dealing with power system simulation and equipment verification/testing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Sc or M.Sc in Electrical, Computer or Mechanical Engineering
  • 2-5 years of experience in a technical or customer management role
  • Experience in power systems, power electronics, aerospace, automotive and/or a related simulation field
  • Experience with MATLAB, RT-LAB and its suites is considered an asset
  • Excellent Chinese and English skills (oral and written)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work under pressure, results-oriented, positive attitude, great team player, enjoys helping colleagues.
