About the role
- Family Partner joining Children's After School Program supporting youth with therapeutic needs. Responsibilities include supervision, documentation, and support for families in their communities.
Responsibilities
- Supervise children during program activities
- Intervene during a crisis using appropriate techniques including WELLE restraint
- Drive program van and accompany other staff during ride
- Complete daily documentation of children’s progress in the milieu
- Perform duties as a Family Partner including maintaining contact with caregivers and conduct outreach to their families in their homes and communities as necessary
- Other duties as assigned by program manager
Requirements
- Education Associates degree in a human service field and one year of related experience with target population OR High School diploma/GED and a minimum of two years relevant experience
- Experience as a caregiver of a youth with special needs (preferably mental health needs)
- Applicants must have at least one year of experience working with school age children
- Bilingual Spanish required (please indicate language skills on application)
- Valid Mass drivers license and offsite travel required.
