Material Cost Manager leading financial reporting and cost management for Northrop Grumman’s defense programs. Overseeing a team while ensuring cost control and effective budgeting within contract parameters.
Responsibilities
Sets up cost control system, monitors and controls material and material-related costs on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system.
Performs analyses and prepares reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.
Prepares budgets for contract work and performs and/or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.
Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government.
Incorporates contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university and 7+ years combined experience in any of the following: Supply Chain, Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Procurement or a related field OR Master's Degree and 5+ years of relatable experience.
2+ years of experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) to include Material Integration, Cost Schedule Integration, Integrated Performance Management and Financial reporting requirements.
2 years of leadership experience either leading projects or teams.
Active DoD Secret Secret Clearance with full investigation in the last 5 years.
Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in Aerospace or Aviation industry.
Ability to interface with internal & external customers.
2+ years of Analysis experience with Bill of Materials, Material Requirements Planning, Procurement Systems, Goods Movement, and/or Parts Distribution.
Master’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Finance or related field.
Previous experience conducting Program Audits or Statement of Work Auditors with DCMA or DCAA.
Prior experience with tools; SAP, MRP, Cobra and wInsight for planning and control.
Prior Management experience with direct reports.
