About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage MWM’s commercial distributor network (USA, Africa and Taiwan), ensuring compliance with MWM’s commercial policy and achievement of sales targets.
  • Serve distributors and customers, providing technical assistance on scope; lead negotiations (preparing proposals and commercial orders when necessary), always mindful of the factory’s stated delivery times.
  • Assess regions and customers to identify opportunities for product penetration across a variety of applications.
  • Monitor competitor activity and provide feedback to the factory for appropriate actions.
  • Possess knowledge of product applications to advise customers on the best options for Diesel Generator Sets, Natural Gas Generator Sets, Diesel Lighting Towers and Photovoltaic systems.
  • Availability for international travel (participation in trade shows, presentations, visits to distributors and customers).
  • Manage and apply pricing, adjustments and discounts in accordance with MWM’s commercial policy (assessing sales costs and the financial risks associated with product commercialization).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Business, Commercial Management or related fields. An Engineering degree will be considered an advantage.
  • Postgraduate degree or MBA in Commercial Management or related areas is desirable.
  • Postgraduate/MBA completed.
  • Knowledge of sales processes from prospecting through to delivery.
  • Technical knowledge of Generator Sets.
