Business Development Advisor for Latham & Watkins supporting client development in Paris. Collaborating with BD manager and global team on transactional practice initiatives.
Responsibilities
You will work closely with the BD manager and partners, as well as with the global BD team, to design and implement client development programs for the Paris office’s transactional practices.
Collaborate with the BD manager to plan, execute, and monitor transactional practice development initiatives, with a focus on M&A and Private Equity.
Carry out cross-selling initiatives, market analyses, and research on target companies and industries.
Manage projects from concept through the production of client presentations in coordination with the firm’s New Business team, and work with the global BD team on multi-office opportunities, leveraging the firm’s experience platform.
Draft materials to support the firm’s visibility in rankings.
Coordinate event initiatives and implement partnerships.
Organize and lead special projects on various topics through to completion.
Requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English, enabling effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels of the organization (partners, lawyers, support functions).
Ability to take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team, while prioritizing outstanding client experience.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to continuously evolving technological tools.
Significant experience, preferably in analysis and business development, ideally gained in a financial, legal, or consulting environment.
Strong understanding of the business and financial ecosystem, and the ability to contribute to the development of the BD team’s services.
Master’s degree or equivalent higher education in finance, business, economics, or a related field (preferably with legal training).
