About the role

  • Legal Administrative Assistant coordinating administrative tasks across Regulatory Services at Law Society of Ontario. Managing case management, communications, and supporting process improvements within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate administrative practices to support case management
  • Manage multiple, competing deadlines across Regulatory Services
  • Perform a broad range of administrative and operational tasks
  • Triage communications and respond to inquiries
  • Manage inventory and records and maintain files
  • Conduct legal searches and prepare meeting minutes
  • Assist with hearings and practice recoveries

Requirements

  • Completion of a 2 year college program in Legal Administration or related discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience providing legal administrative support in a legal or professional regulatory environment
  • Experience with litigation is an advantage
  • Professional knowledge of legal office practice, terminology, and procedures
  • Verbal and written communication in French is an asset
  • Valid class “G” driver’s license is an asset
  • Technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite / 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience with case management systems and database applications
  • Requires a typing speed of 60 error-free words per minute and experience with dicta-typing
