About the role

  • Head of Consulting & Business Development leading sales and consulting teams at a Microsoft solution partner. Driving strategic initiatives and portfolio management for company growth.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic management of the sales and consulting portfolio
  • Further development of the go-to-market and sales strategy based on existing and new business
  • Development of the consulting portfolio according to market trends and customer needs toward a sustainable target portfolio
  • Positioning and pricing of consulting services in coordination with executive management
  • Innovation management and identification of new business opportunities
  • Lead and develop the consulting and sales teams
  • Individual talent development and coaching
  • Ensure skills diversity and know-how transfer
  • Foster a healthy team spirit (Holacracy)
  • Operational excellence and project control
  • Responsibility for project and contract execution; P&L responsibility
  • Stakeholder management at C-level
  • Strategic management of key accounts
  • Building trusted-advisor roles within the consulting team

Requirements

  • Experience working with and steering leadership teams
  • Proven track record of results-oriented responsibility for consulting business, ideally within the Microsoft ecosystem
  • Understanding of consulting as a strategic value driver embedded in sales, delivery, product development and finance
  • Several years of demonstrable disciplinary and technical leadership experience, preferably from a consulting-related or transformation-driven environment
  • Demanding yet supportive leadership style
  • Leading with psychological safety within the team
  • Ability to think strategically and entrepreneurially
  • Clear communication internally and externally
  • Deep methodological expertise from IT consulting to support the professionalization of the team
  • Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
