About the role

  • HR Generalist supporting the entire employee lifecycle and HR processes at HÖRMANN in Saarbrücken. Engaging with employees and management on HR-related topics in a family-owned company.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage the entire HR area at the Saarbrücken site — from onboarding to offboarding of our employees.
  • Process payroll via SAP HCM for both hourly and salaried employees, maintain time accounts, record absences and provisions, and support month-end and year-end closings.
  • Coordinate and implement personnel measures such as hires, transfers, reclassifications, and collective bargaining provisions in close cooperation with the works council.
  • Manage the deployment of temporary agency workers — from demand notification through communication with staffing agencies to contract review and deployment planning.
  • Prepare and analyze relevant HR reports, for example on sickness absence, accident statistics, or personnel provisions.

Requirements

  • Completed commercial training with further qualification as a Personnel Specialist (Personalfachkaufmann/-frau) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Several years of practical experience in the HR field, ideally in a manufacturing/industrial company.
  • Solid knowledge of payroll tax, social security, and employment law, and experience in payroll processing.
  • Confident use of SAP R/3 (HCM) and common MS Office applications.
  • Structured, independent and solution-oriented working style with a high level of personal responsibility.
  • Discretion, loyalty, and strong communication skills in dealings with employees, managers and external contacts.
  • German at native level; English skills are an advantage.
