About the role

  • Sales Development Representative qualifying leads for a strategic partner of AWS in the education sector. Involves initial contact, research, and collaboration with sales teams in Brazil.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Qualification: The SDR works with lists generated by AWS, self-sourced lists, or lists provided by marketing and performs an initial analysis to determine whether they have potential to become customers in the education sector.
  • Research and Prospecting: Conducts detailed research on identified companies and contacts to understand their needs and pain points and to assess fit with the solution offered.
  • Initial Outreach: Contacts leads through various channels—email, phone, or social media—to introduce the company and its products/services.
  • Meeting Scheduling: After identifying qualified leads, the SDR schedules meetings with the sales team to continue the commercial process.
  • Cadence Management: Uses automation and cadence management tools to maintain consistent contact with leads, nurturing them until they are ready to advance in the sales process.
  • Feedback to Marketing: Provides ongoing feedback to the marketing team about the quality of leads received, helping to optimize campaigns and strategies.
  • Collaboration with Sales Team: Works closely with the sales team, handing off qualified leads and assisting with meeting preparation.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with leads and present the company.
  • Ability to influence and persuade leads to progress through the sales process.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and leads simultaneously.
  • Capacity to handle rejection and maintain motivation.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different types of leads and situations.
  • Deep understanding of the products and services offered.
  • Proficiency with CRM, prospecting, and marketing automation tools.
  • Proven experience as an SDR or in business development.
  • Knowledge of negotiation techniques such as BANT, AIDA, and SPIN Selling.
  • Knowledge of the IT industry and cloud solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, results-oriented environment.
  • Resilience and the ability to overcome challenges and meet targets.
