About the role

  • Human Resources Director managing HR activities and performance in a dynamic manufacturing company. Supporting international growth and ensuring compliance with labor laws across multiple regions.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of managers through coaching, training and ongoing support;
  • Develop, implement and maintain an employee coaching program delivered by managers, focused on technical and behavioral skill development and aligned with individual objectives and a mutually agreed development plan;
  • Develop, implement and maintain a performance management program based on positive feedback and clear expectations, with monthly follow-ups, while supporting managers in labour relations matters;
  • Maintain an optimal organizational structure with clearly defined roles, responsibilities and authorities;
  • Supervise the HR team and ensure effective coordination of daily activities;
  • Strengthen company culture, internal communication and employee engagement;
  • Ensure compliant management of full payroll cycles and align benefits programs with attraction and retention strategies;
  • Coordinate employee matters internationally (Canada, United States, France and Germany) in collaboration with local partners;
  • Participate in the executive committee and contribute to strategic decisions;
  • Simplify and optimize HR processes (recruitment, onboarding, performance, training);
  • Implement simple, modern tools and practices adapted to the reality of an SME;
  • Ensure legal compliance and manage sensitive cases (CNESST, disability, return-to-work, etc.);
  • Ensure compliance with international labour laws.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial relations, human resources management or a related field
  • 8 to 12 years of experience in human resources, including at least 3 years in a management role
  • Membership in the Ordre des CRHA (strong asset)
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment or SME (strong asset)
  • Experience working with international divisions
  • Strong knowledge of Quebec labour laws
