About the role

  • HR Manager responsible for building and leading personnel development strategies at Glencore's historical Nordenham site. Collaborating with leadership and driving strategic HR initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • You will build the company's personnel development function conceptually, structurally and operationally, and develop it for the long term.
  • You will work closely with HR leadership, as well as with executive management, line managers and the works council.
  • Establish and lead the Personnel Development department
  • Develop a company-wide personnel development strategy
  • Qualification concepts for production (blue-collar) and administrative employees
  • Design leadership development programs (foremen, team leaders, management)
  • Further development of talent management and succession planning processes
  • Competency management and qualification analyses
  • Design modern learning formats for production and administration
  • Advise executive management and line managers
  • Collaboration with the works council, educational providers and external partners
  • Support organizational development and transformation processes
  • Operational delivery of selected trainings and workshops

Requirements

  • University degree, e.g. Human Resource Management / Personnel Management, Work and Organizational Psychology, Business Administration with HR focus, Education / Adult Education, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in personnel development, ideally in a leadership or project-responsible role
  • Experience in an industrial environment with blue-collar/operational employees
  • Knowledge of working with the works council and collective bargaining structures (IG Metall)
  • Experience in developing personnel development instruments and development programs
  • Strategic, structured and at the same time pragmatic approach to work
  • Strong communication and advisory skills
  • Ability to assert oneself and a strong drive to shape and implement initiatives
