About the role

  • Director responsible for corporate partnerships at the New York Giants, focusing on sponsorship sales. Engaging with businesses to create integrated sponsorship proposals and achieve sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, cultivate and close new business partnerships leveraging the New York Giants- controlled sponsorship, media and hospitality portfolio of benefits
  • Track, analyze and consistently grow new business sales pipeline to move prospects through the sales cycle
  • Develop and foster relationships with prospective companies, properties, buying agencies and key decision makers
  • Collaborate across internal departments to create integrated and effective sponsorship proposals
  • Conduct discovery meetings with prospects to understand business needs and objectives and align Giants opportunities
  • Develop compelling and creative sponsorship packages and proposals
  • Effectively pitch and negotiate deals to close contracts, expand customer base, and achieve annual new business sales goals
  • Analyze emerging business intelligence data sets to identify new sponsorship categories and create unique platform assets
  • Consistently research best practices and trends within business and sponsorship disciplines
  • Perform other functions and activities as assigned

Requirements

  • No less than five (5) years industry experience in a direct sales capacity
  • Sports and entertainment sponsorship sales preferred
  • Strong existing client relationships are preferred and direct working relationships with agencies are a plus
  • An individual of superior self-confidence, enthusiasm and resiliency who possesses a combination of forward-thinking and self-motivation to rise to the challenge and enable him/her to immediately establish credibility within and outside of the organization and to achieve sales results
  • An individual with the ability to relate to a wide variety of audiences. The successful candidate must possess the demonstrated ability to gain and enhance the respect and trust of superiors and peers
  • Preferable to have experience selling in the NY/NJ marketplace
  • Ability to manage a high level of detail across multiple projects and to prioritize efficiently
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM
  • Possess an optimistic team attitude and competitive drive and work ethic
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, events, etc. and travel as needed
