About the role
- Instructional Coach providing consultation and coaching to teachers in partner child development centers. Collaborating with stakeholders and developing instructional support plans aligned with child care requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing consultation and coaching to teachers in partner child development centers (CDCs)
- Support center directors to develop teacher support systems and skills
- Develop and execute an instructional support plan that meets individual needs of each PKP teacher and their students
- Includes curriculum and assessment support, coaching on evidence-based instructional strategies, and coordinating with community organizations
- Develop coaching cycles and professional learning opportunities that align with state and childcare requirements
- Assist with teacher recruitment efforts
- Report directly to the Sr. Manager, Pre-K Partnerships
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- EC-6 Texas Teaching Certification Preferred
- At least 3-4 years of early childhood classroom teaching experience
- At least 2 years of experience in instructional coaching
- Experience working in child development centers preferred
- Familiarity with Teaching Strategies GOLD, CLASS, high-quality curricula, and frameworks
- An ability to organize and conduct trainings effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with a diverse set of stakeholders
