About the role

  • Support the U.S. Department of Energy's HR department by coordinating onboarding and maintaining records. Assist with administrative tasks and HR-related programs.

Responsibilities

  • Support the U.S. Department of Energy, Idaho Operations Office
  • Provide administrative and technical support to the Human Resources department
  • Coordinate new hire orientation/onboarding logistics
  • Issue reports and maintain HR division webpages
  • Manage HR-related tickler reports
  • Administer recognition programs
  • Assist with data entry and record-keeping in HR systems
  • May assist with the drug testing program and professional credential reimbursements

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Some college coursework in Human Resources or a related field is desirable
  • 1 year of relevant administrative or HR support experience
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Attention to detail in data entry and record maintenance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with basic HR processes and terminology
  • Experience working in a DOE environment is preferred
