About the role

  • Meet or exceed your new business sales target by proactive inbound and outbound new business development
  • Target, prospect, identify, evaluate, and prioritize new business opportunities
  • Work closely with Lead Management and Sales Development teams to respond to all leads
  • Conceive and execute effective prospecting programmes in collaboration with Marketing team
  • Get in front of prospects and customers to drive the sales pipeline forward
  • Attend key industry meetings & events as needed
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive deals forward
  • Develop and regularly maintain a sales plan for your territory
  • Work with the Account Management team for successful client handover process
  • Accurately manage the business pipeline

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in business development
  • Demonstratable track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Relevant knowledge of energy/commodity markets and/or market data and analytics industry
  • Deep understanding of Data, Analytics and Research enterprise sales processes
  • Advanced negotiation and rapport-building skills
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • MBA or relevant advanced degree strongly preferred
  • Willingness to travel across the region as required
