About the role

  • Business Development Specialist driving new sales in factory automation sector. Collaborating with sales teams and defining market product needs at Festo in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Driving new Sales for the portfolio through Festo Segment and Regional sales teams and their channels with focus on specific EA.
  • Identify new segments and customers for the product portfolio and work with the sales team to acquire new business.
  • With the Sales Director, define local market product needs and contribute to future product definitions.
  • Execute training, documentation and product support requirements and ensure these are adequate to support business expectations.
  • Develop pre-analysis for projects and work with sales team to ensure the right projects are going in the funnel.
  • Develop budgetary quoting capability with the engineering team.

Requirements

  • Technical degree required (mechanical, pneumatics, process and/or electronics engineering, business/marketing) with a minimum of 10 years of related working experience
  • Proven experience in the field of factory automation market in a Sales, business development or marketing role
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully implement strategic and tactical plans
  • Demonstrated organization and project management skills
  • Superior customer relationship-building skills
  • Strong strategic thinker and self-starter
  • Must have a valid driver’s license & reliable transportation vehicle available for business purposes
