About the role

  • Lead and develop a team of circa 5 new business outbound SDRs.
  • Ensure your team’s delivery of meeting and pipeline targets through supportive leadership and hands on coaching.
  • Monitor and manage vital KPIs such as activity levels, lead volumes and conversion rates through the sales funnel.
  • Collaborate with your fellow SDR manager to promote and share best practice across the sales development department as a whole.
  • Proactively work with marketing, sales and other teams to maximise the effectiveness of your team’s inputs and outputs.
  • Design and optimise outbound strategies and tactics across multichannel outreach (cold calls, email, video, LinkedIn, direct mail).
  • Diagnose frictions in the sales funnel and lead initiatives to improve conversion and velocity.
  • Actively support the hiring, onboarding, performance management and succession planning of the team.
  • Design and run regular development sessions such as call reviews, interventional support and elite level coaching, both 1:1 and group.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing outbound SDR / inside sales teams in a SaaS / high growth environment.
  • Track record of over-achievement in pipeline generation roles.
  • Strong coaching mindset - you enjoy developing talent and raising performance.
  • Deep understanding of outbound prospecting, multi-channel cadences, messaging and ABM principles.
  • Practical awareness of modern outreach best practice, including responsible use of AI tools, sequencing platforms, conversational intelligence and emerging prospecting tactics.
  • Excellent analytical ability: building dashboards, forecasting, capacity planning, performance diagnostics.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce (or equivalent CRM), Sales engagement tools (e.g. Salesloft / Outreach), LinkedIn Navigator, intent and data enrichment tools (6Sense, Lusha, Usergems etc).
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship skills - you’ll partner with Sales, Marketing, RevOps, Enablement and senior leadership.
  • Comfortable in a fast paced / changing environment, taking ownership and pushing for improvement.
