About the role

  • Lead country operations processes
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and risks in daily operations
  • Drive automation initiatives to streamline tasks and unlock capacity for higher-value activities
  • Establish and enforce SOPs aligned with group standards while tailoring to local market dynamics
  • Serve as a bridge between operations and product teams, ensuring long-term sustainability
  • Monitor liquidity to ensure uninterrupted product availability
  • Lead planning and forecasting activities
  • Act as primary liaison with financial institutions on funding and compliance
  • Provide operational input into partner negotiations to support Kuunda’s scaling needs
  • Oversee collections performance across partners, ensuring recovery targets are met
  • Lead regular performance reviews, converting insights into actionable strategies
  • Implement data-driven risk mitigation measures to strengthen portfolio health
  • Design incentives and accountability frameworks to drive strong team performance
  • Align field collections with digital tools to create cohesive multi-channel strategies
  • Deliver consolidated performance reports with actionable insights for leadership
  • Use analytics platforms to monitor trends, operational SLAs, and funding requirements
  • Oversee efficient back-office operations, ensuring rapid, accurate partner support
  • Monitor support systems and coordinate interventions to minimize downtime or issues
  • Build internal and partner capability through training programs on compliance and operational best practices
  • Cultivate strong relationships with financial institutions and ecosystem partners
  • Provide transparent, data-driven insights to strengthen collaboration
  • Support the Country Director with operational intelligence for partner engagements

Requirements

  • 5+ years in operational leadership, ideally in fintech, financial services, telco or similar high-growth environments
  • Proven ability to design and scale efficient workflows across operations
  • Hands-on experience in liquidity planning, forecasting, and managing institutional relationships
  • Strong background in collections strategy, analytics, and risk management
  • Proficiency with data analysis and workflow management tools
  • Demonstrated success in partner engagement and compliance management
  • Experience leading automation initiatives and optimizing support functions
  • Skilled in training and capability building
