About the role

  • Offers support and guidance to new employees during the early employment period
  • Completes detailed preparation of the solution concept selected in the design phase as the basis for the order execution
  • Develops control engineering solutions based on the requirements of our customers using information technology
  • Responsible for clear customer communication and clarification of details
  • Creates interface documents, specification sheets, and internal documents for project-executing departments
  • Creates test plans (factory tests, internal and customer-specific acceptance tests) and responsible for factory acceptance testing
  • Creates development requests and coordinates participates in planning meetings with mechanical, hardware and electrics engineers
  • Supports project-implementing departments (Planning, Development, Commissioning, etc.) and continuously updates customer-specific SW-documents during order execution
  • Verifies layout feasibility for software processes and communicates deviations from original scope to stakeholders
  • Coordinates customer projects with software suppliers and supports Project Management initiatives and timelines
  • Mentors new employees and improves planning documents through updates and revisions

Requirements

  • Engineering degree (Information Technology, Logistics), or equivalent work experience
  • Intermediate level of understanding of system components of KNAPP-Group (function, software, hardware)
  • Intermediate level of understanding of complex processes in the workflow of our customers
  • Intermediate level of understanding of requirements for integration of the KNAPP system into the customer environment
  • Ability to plan and hold meetings (with planning team and with customers)
  • Intermediate level of computer skills (MS Office, KNAPP-internal tools)
  • Language skills (English mandatory, another language beneficial)
  • Authorization to work in the U.S
  • Passport or ability to obtain passport
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% and work flexible hours (night shift or weekends)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Reliability and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to take criticism and use it constructively
  • Ability to manage conflicts and resolve challenges
  • Ability to recognize, troubleshoot and resolve system failures and problems
